Ms. Phelane is a finance and operations audit specialist with over a decades' worth experience in both internal and external audit serving clients in healthcare, retail, mining, energy and technology and communications sector. Her experience spans from working at one of the big 4 audit firms as well as JSE listed companies in retail and healthcare sector.She is member of the audit and risk committee for the Netcare Medical Aid Scheme as well as the International Women’s Forum South Africa where fosters good governance practises and process optimization. Her other oversight roles include that of being a board member for Citizen Leader Lab and Chairperson of Young Leaders Connect.She holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Certificate in the Theory of Accounting (CTA) from UNISA as well as a BCOM Accounting degree from Wits University and is a qualified Chartered Accountant. Ms. Phelane also holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Regenesys and has completed the IWFSA Leadership Development Program that was offered through Duke Corporate Education. She is currently busy with an Executive Development Program offered by Wits Business School.Ms Phelane, is a Chartered Accountant, South Africa (CA (S)) by trade, and her most notable accomplishment is that of being recently recognised by the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA), as a top 35 under 35 CA(SA) for her commitment to excellence and making a lasting impact in the lives of others.
