The Global Centre for Risk and Innovation (GCRI)
Health Nexus is a specialist platform of The Global Centre for Risk and Innovation (GCRI). Its mandate is research and evidence on health security and human wellbeing: how health systems withstand and recover from shocks, how exposure and access are distributed, and how human, animal and environmental health connect. This page sets out who publishes it, what it does, what it never does and where it stands today.

The jurisdictions that hold authority over this question: countries, their first-level divisions and capitals, shown for the Nordic and Baltic region as an example geography for this subject.
The platform's thesis is health security and human wellbeing through resilient health systems and cross-sector evidence. In practice that means three lines of work.
Facility continuity analysis of hospitals and clinics against loss of power, water, staff, supplies and data.
Health services access analysis that shows where travel time, cost or disruption leaves people without services.
Evidence on how human, animal and ecosystem health interact, from zoonotic spillover to antimicrobial resistance.
GCRI publishes Health Nexus and answers for what appears on it. GCRI works across Canada and the United States. GCRI is a research, development and policy institution; its findings carry their methods and uncertainty.
Health Nexus is an established platform at its existing address. Activity on the platform is described only where a record confirms it, and the current service level is R0: information and enquiries. Outputs are published as health-system resilience briefs, access maps and One Health evidence once they have passed review; see publications.
Decisions on health services, emergency measures and clinical practice remain with ministries, public health agencies, regulators and providers under their own rules. See trust, rights and status.

The platform belongs to the health and biosecurity field. Its governance counterpart is Health and Biosecurity Governance at The Global Risks Forum (GRF), and its finance counterpart is Insurance Nexus at The Global Risks Alliance (GRA). Read the field overview for the science and dependencies and consequences for the links to other systems.
The current service level is R0: information and enquiries. An enquiry receives a reference and names the next step; applications, payments, compute allocations and registrations open only when their team, terms and review capacity exist.
