NXS-COR

NXS-COR (compute, nodes and runtimes) is the compute fabric: where workloads are enrolled, placed and run across infrastructure, with data residency, cost and continuity requirements respected.

03The problem it addresses

Analysis that depends on one provider inherits that provider’s risk.

NXS-COR is defined in system profile NRS-S4 of the Nexus Standards. Large risk analyses need significant compute, and public institutions need to know where their data and workloads run, under which jurisdiction, and what happens if a provider becomes unavailable. Placement is therefore a policy decision as well as a technical one.

  • Workload placement against residency and sovereignty rules.
  • Continuity across providers and regions.
  • Energy efficiency of compute, reported with ISO/IEC 30134 metrics where available.

06Rooms

The ten rooms of NXS-COR.

NXS-COR has the eight rooms every Foundry system shares, set to its own authority, and two specialist rooms, Fleet and Placement. Each is described by the work it is designed for; the public register records NXS-COR as declared, not deployed.

07Access

Authorised projects only.

Access requires an authorised project with an accountable owner, data terms and a review plan. Enquiries go to the contact form.

08Risk Academy

Where NXS-COR subjects are taught.

Risk Academy, led by the Nexus Consortium, teaches the subjects practised in NXS-COR in these disciplines; the Global Centre for Risk and Innovation (GCRI) links to the Academy as a partner and does not provide its courses.
