The Global Centre for Risk and Innovation (GCRI) is a federally incorporated non-profit organization registered under the Canada Not-for-Profit Corporations Act (CNCA). In the United States, GCRI is registered as a domestic nonprofit corporation in the District of Columbia under D.C. Code Title 29, Chapter 4. GCRI also maintains affiliated legal registrations in Switzerland, where it operates as an international association governed by Articles 60–79 of the Swiss Civil Code, and is domiciled in accordance with cantonal and federal association regulations. GCRI further supports APAC region through its leadership in Singapore, where it adheres to the local law and applicable provisions under the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA) framework, and supports MENA region with its leadership in Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, where it complies with the legal frameworks for international institutions. GCRI has maintained Special Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) since 2023 and functions as a federated, sovereign-grade institution designed to serve as a trusted global node for public-interest research, digital infrastructure, and clause-governed governance innovation. GCRI aligns its governance and operations with the principles articulated in the UN Charter, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights. GCRI is organized exclusively for public benefit, scientific, educational, and research purposes, and is structured to comply with nonprofit laws in all jurisdictions of operation. GCRI affirms that no part of its earnings shall inure to the benefit of any private party, officer, or board member, and no substantial part of its activities shall involve political campaign intervention or lobbying, except where expressly permitted for public-interest advocacy. The organization maintains a governing board, conflict-of-interest policy, and internal control systems to ensure institutional compliance with fiduciary and statutory nonprofit obligations in Canada, the United States, Switzerland, Singapore, and the UAE. GCRI’s global mandate is to advance frameworks for foresight science, risk governance, digital public goods, and innovation systems that enable treaty-aligned and clause-certified infrastructure development. GCRI functions exclusively as a systems integrator, governance infrastructure steward, and custodian of public-interest research and simulation tools. GCRI does not and shall not offer, promote, facilitate, or engage in any activity that constitutes a financial, legal, fiduciary, or regulated service under the laws of Canada, the United States, the European Union, Switzerland, Singapore, UAE, or any other relevant jurisdiction. Specifically, GCRI does not provide, nor shall it be construed to provide: securities issuance, investment advisory, asset or fund management, lending or capital structuring, insurance or reinsurance brokerage, custody services, trust management, blockchain-based financial instruments, or legal, tax, or accounting advice. Any references within GCRI publications or platforms to concepts such as “resilience finance,” “risk corridors,” “capital deployment,” or “governance investment” are intended strictly for educational, policy simulation, and research purposes and shall not be interpreted as a solicitation, offer, or endorsement of financial services. Where GCRI-developed clause systems, simulations, or protocol environments interface with financial, legal, or fiduciary domains that require regulated execution, such services—if and where performed—shall be delivered solely by jurisdictionally authorized and independently licensed entities, including institutional members of the Global Risks Alliance (GRA) or other partners. GCRI itself does not, and cannot, execute, enforce, or distribute any service that would require registration or licensure under applicable financial, fiduciary, or professional regulatory frameworks. All GCRI platforms, including the Nexus Ecosystem (NE), Clause Commons, Nexus Sovereignty Framework (NSF), and affiliated simulation environments, are developed under open-source and public-interest licensing protocols. These include Creative Commons (CC BY-NC-SA or CC0), Open Data Commons (ODbL, PDDL), and SPDX-compliant open software licenses such as MIT, Apache 2.0, and AGPL. Unless otherwise licensed by written agreement, all materials are restricted to non-commercial, attribution-based, and publicly verifiable use only. Any redistribution, modification, or commercial application of GCRI content, especially within regulated industries, is expressly prohibited without prior written approval. As the registrar of Clause Commons and custodian of simulation contributions and foresight models, GCRI governs all submissions under non-exclusive, public-interest licensing protocols with irrevocable grant provisions, subject to traceability and dual-use classification (Commons/Public). Contributors acknowledge that their submissions become part of the Commons and remain available under these licensing terms unless a formal withdrawal request is reviewed and accepted by GCRI or its designated arbitration mechanism. GCRI does not collect, store, or monetize personal, financial, health, or biometric data for commercial use. All data utilized in simulations or public-facing tools is either synthetic, anonymized, or aggregated, or obtained through lawful data-sharing agreements. GCRI complies with applicable data protection and privacy regulations, including Canada’s PIPEDA, Switzerland’s FADP, the EU’s GDPR, the U.S. Privacy Act (where applicable), Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA), and UAE’s Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on Personal Data Protection. GCRI has designated a data protection contact who may be reached at [insert email] for compliance inquiries, data access requests, or withdrawal of consent. No artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), or automated decision systems developed or hosted by GCRI are intended for use in regulated or high-risk domains such as healthcare, finance, legal enforcement, or critical infrastructure. All such systems are exploratory in nature, auditable, explainable, and used solely for public-interest research, education, and policy prototyping. GCRI affirms compliance with the OECD AI Principles, emerging EU AI Act provisions, and U.S., Singaporean, and UAE guidelines on algorithmic accountability. All GCRI resources are provided “as-is,” without any express or implied warranty. GCRI disclaims all liability, including but not limited to, warranties of merchantability, fitness for purpose, enforceability, and accuracy. GCRI shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages arising from the use or reliance on its platforms, simulations, or outputs. Use of GCRI resources for strategic, regulatory, fiduciary, or investment purposes is done solely at the user’s risk. All disputes, claims, or legal actions arising from the access to or use of GCRI platforms, content, or services shall be governed by the laws of Canada, and where appropriate, those of Switzerland, the District of Columbia (U.S.), Singapore, or the United Arab Emirates. Disputes shall be resolved through binding institutional arbitration, conducted under the UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules or the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Rules, seated in either Toronto, Geneva, Singapore, or Dubai, as determined by GCRI. Users of GCRI systems irrevocably waive any right to trial by jury, participation in class actions, or extraterritorial remedies not expressly permitted under applicable law or treaty. By accessing GCRI services, platforms, data, or publications; submitting contributions; or participating in affiliated programs, you affirm that you have read, understood, and accepted the terms set forth in this legal disclaimer. If you do not accept any portion of these terms, you are not authorized to access or use GCRI systems or infrastructure.
