    About

    Navjot Dhaliwal

    Principal Researcher

Navjot Dhaliwal is a PhD candidate at York University, looking to braid different forms of knowledge to facilitate cultural understanding between diverse societies. His work is predicated on equitable governance of natural resources that is facilitated by Indigenous communities. As a scholar, he is looking to globally impact humanitarian relief by building improved understanding among distinct knowledge systems, cultures, and peoples. Currently, he is investigating the application of the Ecosystem Approach to develop a functional framework by braiding Western Science and Indigenous knowledge, with intentions to build understanding between Indigenous and Canadian societies. Ultimately, he desires to contribute to work that resolves both environmental and anthropogenic humanitarian disasters using interdisciplinary research and advanced technology.
