Hanna-Maria Viertola, Senior Industrial Designer based in Oulu, Finland. With a passion for innovative thinking and envisioning extraordinary human experiences, I have dedicated my career to exploring the intersection of technology and design. I embarked on my journey in industrial design at Nokia after completing my M.A. from University of Lapland. Throughout six and a half years of professional experience at Nokia, I've had the privilege of applying my skills in product design, user experience research, and systems thinking. Whether it's enhancing the user experience of a product or service, or devising strategies, I enjoy challenges associated with translating ideas into tangible results. I have strong experience in working in cross-cultural environment and my inherent passion and curiosity towards people is present in my daily encounters. At the core of my professional philosophy is solving the right problems by asking the right questions and thinking outside of the box in order to create high quality experiences. I firmly believe in the power of research, communication and continuous learning. My core values include innovation, quality and openness. Outside of work, I love exploring Italian food and language. I also enjoy trying out different sports, like my recent interests in road biking and horseback riding. Always on the lookout for new adventures.
