Registry gateway

The Nexus Registry is the public-safe record of the programme: what exists, in which state, on what source and in which version. The Global Centre for Risk and Innovation (GCRI) stewards it so that any claim on a Nexus page can be traced to a record. A registry entry states its status, its source reference and its version history, and it never shows a record that does not exist. This gateway explains what the Registry holds and how its records change. Return to Nexus Ecosystem.

01In brief

The short answer.

The Nexus Registry is the public-safe record of the programme: what exists, in which state, on what source and in which version. GCRI stewards it so that any claim on a Nexus page can be traced to a record, and an entry never shows a record that does not exist or anything unsafe to publish.

02Geography

Landscapes and remoteness in Brazil.

Mountain ranges, deserts, wetlands, glaciers and reefs, and how remote each division is from large cities, shown for Brazil as an example geography for this subject.

04Principles

Records before status.

Status

One state per record

Each record carries one explicit state from a published vocabulary, never an informal label.

Source

A reference for every claim

Every entry cites the document or decision behind it, or says that none exists.

Version

No silent edits

A change creates a new version with its history; earlier versions remain inspectable.

05Public safety

What is never published.

A public record must be safe to publish as well as true. Entries are checked against these limits before release.

  • Restricted infrastructure topology, personal data and protected community knowledge.
  • Records whose owner has not authorized publication.
  • Draft instruments presented as adopted, or planned reports presented as released.
06Key terms

Terms used on this page.

Each term as this page uses it. Where a standard-setting body defines the term, the wording follows that body.

TermDefinition
Persistent identifierA long-lasting reference to a digital object, person or organisation, such as a DOI, ORCID iD or ROR ID, that resolves even when locations change.
ProvenanceInformation about the entities, activities and people involved in producing a record, used to judge its quality and reliability, in the W3C PROV model.
Public-safe releaseA recorded decision on the detail at which a layer may be published without exposing sensitive sites or people.
Status attestationA dated statement by a named owner that a programme's recorded status is still accurate.
07Status

Where to find records now.

Registry records are published on Nexus Registry as they are authorized. Current programme states are summarised on Programme status, and GCRI's claims register on Claims and readiness register. The current service level is R0: information and enquiries. The equivalent register of The Global Risks Alliance (GRA) is its claims and programme status page.

08Questions

Questions and answers.

Is the Registry a legal register?
No. It is a public record of programme states and sources. It confers no legal status, licence or approval.
How do I correct a registry entry?
Write to integrity@therisk.global naming the entry and your evidence. An accepted correction creates a new version.
Who maintains the Registry?
The Consortium Secretariat publishes entries on the authority of each record's owner: a national structure for its programme state, an editor for a publication, a resource owner for an offer. The owner is named on the entry.
Can I reuse registry data?
Public entries can be cited with their version. Reuse of underlying data follows the rights stated on each entry.
Why is a record I expected missing?
A record appears only when it exists and its owner has authorized publication. Absence is shown honestly rather than filled with a placeholder.

Start with an enquiry.

The current service level is R0: information and enquiries. An enquiry receives a reference and names the next step; applications, payments, compute allocations and registrations open only when their team, terms and review capacity exist.
