Campaigns

Nexus Campaigns is the public-interest communication and participation platform of The Global Centre for Risk and Innovation (GCRI): campaigns that explain systemic risk, invite local knowledge and mobilize participation around a defined question. This page is the gateway to the Nexus Campaigns platform and lists only campaigns that have a record. A campaign appears here with its owner, purpose, audience and dates once that record exists. No campaign is listed yet. Return to GCRI programmes.

01In brief

04Purpose

What a campaign is designed to do.

Explain

Public understanding

Plain-language explanation of a risk, its dependencies and what is known and unknown.

Listen

Local knowledge

Routes for residents and communities to contribute knowledge or raise a concern.

Mobilize

Participation

Invitations to take part in working groups, reviews or learning, with clear terms.

05Record

What every listed campaign carries.

  1. 01

    Owner

The accountable organization and team, named.

  2. 02

    Purpose and audience

The question, who it is for and what participants are asked to do.

  3. 03

    Evidence

Every claim linked to its source and evidence label.

  4. 04

    Dates and closure

Start and end dates, and what happens to contributions afterwards.

06Boundaries

Rules every campaign follows.

  • Campaigns never present simulated warnings as real or imply emergency response.
  • Contributions are used for the stated purpose and kept under the privacy notice; they are never used for marketing.
  • Protected community knowledge is never used in public examples without consent.
  • No campaign implies a partnership or endorsement without a record.
07Audiences

Who campaigns are designed for.

Educators, civic groups, researchers, community partners and programme teams are the audiences the platform is designed around. A campaign is written for one audience at a time, in plain language, with every factual claim traceable to its source. Where a campaign touches a hazard, it points readers to the competent authority for official information rather than offering its own warnings.

10Questions

Questions and answers.

Can my organization run a campaign on the platform?
Write to programmes@therisk.global with the question, the audience and the owner. A proposal is not a listing until it has a record.
Do campaigns raise money?
No campaign is listed, and none is presented as a fundraising appeal. Any support arrangement would be set out in its own terms.
Can communities correct a campaign?
Yes. Anyone can write to integrity@therisk.global without membership or an account. An accepted correction creates a new recorded version.
How is my contribution used?
Only for the campaign's stated purpose and to keep a record, under the privacy notice of this site.
