Publications

This is the catalogue of publications issued by The Global Centre for Risk and Innovation (GCRI), through GCRI Canada or GCRI US. Each entry is listed once, at its canonical address, with its publisher, authors, date, version, review state, licence and correction history. Items enter the catalogue only after review and release; a planned or drafted report is never shown as released. The programme's governed series are described under the Nexus Reports programme, and every change is recorded under corrections and updates.

01In brief

The short answer.

The GCRI publications catalogue lists everything GCRI issues through GCRI Canada or GCRI US, each work once at its canonical address with its publisher, authors, date, version, review state, licence and correction history. Items enter only after review and release, and a planned or drafted report is never shown as released.

Draft to published version.

Canvas · draft to published versionDesign, not a record
Publications: systematic evidence synthesisA question is framed with its owner and a protocol registered; records are searched, screened and checked for eligibility by two reviewers; data are extracted, synthesised and graded for certainty before a brief is written. Design of the process, not a record of a run.

06Key terms

Terms used on this page.

Each term as this page uses it. Where a standard-setting body defines the term, the wording follows that body.

TermDefinition
Version of recordThe fixed version of a work that a publisher formally declares published; later changes appear as dated corrections or new versions, never as silent edits, in the sense NISO's journal article versions recommendation uses.
Persistent identifierA long-lasting reference to a digital object, person or organisation, such as a DOI, ORCID iD or ROR ID, that resolves even when locations change.
CorrectionA published notice that amends an error in a work whose main findings stand.
Peer reviewEvaluation of a work by independent experts in the field before publication.
07Attribution

One canonical home for each work.

A publication has one canonical URL. Other GCRI pages, specialist platforms and partner institutions summarize and link to it rather than republishing it. When citing, use the canonical title, publisher, version and date shown in the record.

Publications of The Global Risks Forum and The Global Risks Alliance are catalogued by those institutions, for example GRA publications and professional briefs.

09Questions

Questions and answers.

How should I cite a GCRI publication?
Cite the title, the publishing organization, the version, the release date and the canonical URL from the catalogue record. Cite the version you used, since corrections create new versions.
Are drafts or forthcoming reports listed?
No. Only released publications are catalogued. Planned series are described on the Nexus Reports programme page without being shown as released.
Can I reuse figures and data?
Under the licence stated in each record. Third-party material keeps its own terms, and restricted data is never released through the catalogue.
How do I report an error in a publication?
Write to integrity@therisk.global naming the publication, the passage and your evidence. Accepted corrections are published as new versions.
Who decides whether a work is released?
Release follows domain and editorial review by qualified, conflict-managed reviewers and the publisher. It follows review, not publicity deadlines, and no funder or sponsor can decide a conclusion.
