This page names the people who hold accountable roles at The Global Centre for Risk and Innovation (GCRI), but only where a current authorization and a biography are on record. Until a name is supported in that way, the page describes the role, what it is accountable for and how to reach it. The same rule applies to both organizations of GCRI, GCRI Canada and GCRI US. That is deliberate: a title on a website is not a record, and a leadership listing should be something a reader can rely on. Return to About GCRI.

GCRI leadership is the set of accountable roles in GCRI Canada and GCRI US, named on this page only where a current authorization and a biography are on record. Until then, each role is described by what it is accountable for and how to reach it, because a title on a website is not an authorization.

A departure or new appointment updates the listing as a new recorded version.
Individual leaders in national programmes take part through the National Leadership Council (NLC) in personal capacity, selected through a defined process; see Leadership pathway. Leadership dialogue and councils across the programme are led by The Global Risks Forum (GRF); see its leadership and councils. Council standing does not buy office, employment, a board seat or restricted data.
Each term as this page uses it. Where a standard-setting body defines the term, the wording follows that body.
| Term | Definition |
|---|---|
| Board of directors | The body legally responsible for governing an organization, overseeing its management and answering for its conduct under its statutes and the law of its jurisdiction. |
| Conflict of interest | A situation in which financial, professional or personal interests could compromise, or appear to compromise, judgement in research or review. |
| Recusal | Withdrawing from a decision or task because of a conflict of interest. |
Accountable roles act within the limits of their authorization. A role holder who has a declared conflict in a matter does not sign the decision or acceptance it concerns, and a complaint about a decision is reviewed by someone who was not responsible for it. How each organization is governed is set out on Board and governance, and decision records, interests and corrections on Public accountability.
The current service level is R0: information and enquiries. An enquiry receives a reference and names the next step; applications, payments, compute allocations and registrations open only when their team, terms and review capacity exist.
