The research library is the entry point to the scientific work of The Global Centre for Risk and Innovation (GCRI). It is designed to let readers find work by topic, by programme and by source, and to show for every item its methods, authors, review state and licence. It holds scientific papers, methods and technical papers, policy research and public data and datasets. Only released, rights-cleared work is listed; restricted or private records never appear here.

Where people and networks concentrate, the exposure through which shocks travel between systems, shown for the United Kingdom and Ireland as an example geography for this subject.
Fields follow the field gateways and methods follow the STEM Commons, so related work meets on shared methods.
Work linked to institutional research, national programmes or the annual cycle, with its programme owner.
Observed, officially reported, modelled, scenario or expert judgement, with the original source authority kept.
Each collection page explains what qualifies for it, how items are reviewed and how readers can reuse what is published, so the library can grow without lowering its standard.
Research questions, methods, authors and review state, including negative and null results.
Openly described quantitative and qualitative methods, with validation and limits.
Bounded implications for competent authorities, separated from the evidence they rest on.
Rights-cleared sources with licence information and lineage.
Each term as this page uses it. Where a standard-setting body defines the term, the wording follows that body.
| Term | Definition |
|---|---|
| Open access | Free, immediate online availability of research outputs, with rights to read, download and reuse under an open licence, as the Budapest Open Access Initiative defines it. |
| Persistent identifier | A long-lasting reference to a digital object, person or organisation, such as a DOI, ORCID iD or ROR ID, that resolves even when locations change. |
| Licence | An authorisation from a sanctions authority permitting an otherwise prohibited activity. |
| Research integrity | Conduct of research in line with principles of reliability, honesty, respect and accountability, as the European Code of Conduct for Research Integrity sets them out. |
Personal data, restricted infrastructure detail, protected community knowledge and third-party material without reuse rights stay out of the library. How work is conducted is described under science and methods, and how it is reviewed under research integrity.
Finance-specific research is published by The Global Risks Alliance (GRA) in its research and intelligence section.
The current service level is R0: information and enquiries. An enquiry receives a reference and names the next step; applications, payments, compute allocations and registrations open only when their team, terms and review capacity exist.
