The twenty Foundry systems are the technical systems of Nexus Foundry, from NorthStar, the common operating picture, and DSS, decision support, to GRIx, EOP, EWS, Rails and Labs, each listed with the platforms it serves. This page gives the public description; the canonical technical pages sit on the Nexus Foundry platform.
Where people and networks concentrate, the exposure through which shocks travel between systems, shown for Latin America and the Caribbean as an example geography for this subject.
| Group | Systems | Job in the Nexus cycle |

Each term as this page uses it. Where a standard-setting body defines the term, the wording follows that body.
| Term | Definition |
|---|---|
| System of systems | A set of independent systems that work together to deliver capabilities none can deliver alone, each keeping its own management and purpose, in the sense ISO/IEC/IEEE 21839 uses. |
| Common operating picture | A shared, regularly updated view of the situation, resources and actions that coordinating agencies all use. |
| Early warning system | An integrated system of hazard monitoring, forecasting, risk assessment, warning communication and preparedness that lets people and institutions act before a hazard strikes, in UNDRR terminology. |
| Data lineage | The traceable path of data from its origin through each transformation to its current form. |

The current service level is R0: information and enquiries. An enquiry receives a reference and names the next step; applications, payments, compute allocations and registrations open only when their team, terms and review capacity exist.
